Remarks & Notes
Restoration in the Future for Reading T-1 4-8-4 2100. Reading T-1 4-8-4 2100 at Reading, PA on May 5, 1962. Behind the 2100 is the 2102. Reading 2102 powered the "Iron Horse Ramble" that weekend. Inspections have identified Reading Lines T-1 2100 to be in reasonable mechanical condition and suitable for return to service and to its original coal burning capacity. The 2100, tender, and auxiliary tender will be transported via flatcar from Richland, WA to Cleveland, OH this year. Reading 2100 was built in September 1945 at the railroad's Reading, PA. shops. Reading T-1 2100, along with the 2102 and 2124, powering the railroad's "Iron Horse Rambles" from 1959 to 1964. With news of Reading 2100 restoration, I just had to post my old Kodachrome of Reading Lines 2100.
