On April 30th, 2015, BNSF Railway train R-CAL0063-30A is unusual, as it consists of just BNSF ES44C4 8357 - running long-hood forward! - and Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 being hauled backward from 3751's home at the Amtrak engine facility at Redondo Junction, just south of downtown Los Angeles. The train has just arrived at Fullerton, where both engines are destined for display at the annual Fullerton Railroad Days (on May 2nd and 3rd).
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
