Remarks & Notes
All three of BN’s executive units (BN-3 was an E unit) were on BN’s company ski train on the D&RGW headed for Winter Park, Colo. at Crescent on Jan. 14, 1993. Gross Dam in the background contains one of Denver’s earliest and principal water supplies, with most of the water having come from the western slope through the pioneer bore of the Moffat Tunnel. It flows freely and naturally on to Denver in South Boulder Canyon which was the crevice enabling David Moffat’s railroad to conquer the Rocky Mtns. due west of Denver.
