With the conductor back on board, 61 loaded steel slab cars from the AK Steel Ashland Works begin their nightly journey from Russell, KY to Middletown, OH under the power of CSX 3099, the "Spirit of West Springfield", more commonly known as the Safety Train unit. Passing under the signal bridge at RU Cabin at the eastern entrance to Russell Yard, the train will diverge onto the Passenger Main and bypass the yard before beginning their journey on the Northern and Cincinnati Subdivisions.
(Meanwhile, I'll be enjoying the next few days in bed, as I ended up twisting my ankle setting flashes up on the other side...without tresspassing, I promise)
