| The delivery of 22 new Transperth 3-car 'B' series railcars has commenced with delivery from Downer/Bombardier in Maryborough. After transfer from the east of Australia on standard gauge transfer bogies to the old Midland workshop, the railcars are given their new 3"6' narrow gauge bogies. Aurizon have been contracted to pick up these new railcars from the Midland workshop and move them a few hundred metres to Midland platform where an in-service railcar will attach and dead haul the new cars to Nowergup for their final touch-up. Here, DAZ1901 is pictured pulling set 102 out of Midland workshop as 6134 to the Flashbutt siding at Bellevue, where it will wait until the final Midland service has cleared for the day before dropping the cars off at Midland platform. |
