It's not quite 8 am and Union Pacific Big Boy #4006 basks in the glow of the early morning light at the St Louis Museum of Transportation. With no luck finding a hotel the night before, I parked my car at the entrance and called it home - this enabled a friend and I to meet with a staff member who allowed us an opportunity to get in (and out) for an early morning shot of this amazing 1941 Alco, one of eight preserved of a total of 25 built, all for the Union Pacific Railroad.
