| The finches and larks sing their morning songs as the smell of honeysuckle and fresh cut hay fills the hazy morning air. The tranquility of a summer Sunday sunrise is all but perfect as the faint echoing sound of a trio of EMD locomotives begin to echo off the trees. Standing atop the Nebo Rd overpass in Boyd, I could hear the train blow for Cynthiana 15 miles down the line, and could hear the commanding roar of the three locomotives for at least the last eight of those miles. It was quite the audio visual experience! |
