Remarks & Notes
The approach signals east of Columbia on the NS Port Road stand as silent beacons in the night sky. Usually heavily used under the cover of darkness, they won't be seeing any traffic this night. After an evening rush, the tracks have now been silent for several hours.

Semaphores, lamps, signs, hand signals. Anything that sends a visible message to train crews.
Nocturnal Nuances & Lights In The Night! (Between Sunset - Sunrise / Sundown - Sunup!)

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
