What's a trip to Galesburg without stopping by railyard's engine pit? Well today, on a quick little trip into town, a buddy and I drove over the yard and spotted a good looking set of power that deserved a snap of the shutter from my camera. This group of locomotives includes a pair of SD70AC units, an EMD SD40-2, a fire damaged H2 evolution series GE and even BNSF 647, one of only two "real" Warbonnet units left out of storage by the railroad at the time. On any given day, you never know what you might find sitting idle down here in the BNSF's Galesburg Yard engine pit.
