Running a little under 50 minutes behind schedule, Amtrak's number 3 train, aka the westbound "Southwest Chief," does every bit of track speed as it races through the small community of Neponset, IL on BNSF's Mendota Subdivision headed for its next stop in Galesburg. The #3 Southwest Chief runs daily between Chicago and Los Angeles making numerous stops along its journey including major ones at Kansas City, Albuquerque and Flagstaff. That B32-8WH second out sure was a nice surprise.
