| Kleine Scheidegg is changing station between the 800mm gauge Wengernalpbahn and the 1000mm gauge Jungfraubahn. Beside of the railway station in early days of tourism mountain hotels were built here which still are in use. Here BDhe 4/8 214 with sister unit 213 have just begun their ascent to the "Top of Europe" - the Jungfraujoch station on 3454m. This is Europe's highest railway station and a global tourism magnet which means plenty of work for the trains.... |
