The End is near! 120 units of the famous Ae 6/6 were built between 1955 and 1966. But in 2009 many are withdrawn already, and a lot more should follow.
In the shunting yards of Biel, 19 engines are piled up, waiting for an insecure future. At least 11421 was saved and is in property of SBB Historic today.
But all other locomotives on this picture (11474, 11451, 610 447, 11491, 11457, 11417 and 11510) do not exist anymore.
