A NJ Transit commuter departs South Amboy for Bay Head on a late fall day in 1982. E8 #4248, a former PRR locomotive, and #4285, a former NYC locomotive, lead this train. John Dziobko's photos on railpictures.net of PRR K4s and Sharks at this location show that the apartment buildings in the background were there in 1957. A look at googlemaps shows that one could visit this same location in 2015 and those apartment buildings would still be there. Sadly, no K4s, Sharks, or even E8s would pass by on today's commuter trains.
