| GRLW's EMD GP9 no. 3752 is the first locomotive of two to receive it's new truck assemblies. Here the two cranes lift the 180,000lb GP9 off it's old truck sets. The new truck assemblies are placed in the ready on the same track while a Republic locomotive chained to the old sets (that are chained to the new) would then simultaneously pull out the old and in the new in less than 5 minutes after the GP9 went in the air. |
