Twilight of the GG-1; literally and figuratively, as the 4913 waits for the next eastbound Broadway during the last month of operations to Harrisburg. Note the ex-Lehigh Valley GP38AC in the eastbound Conrail freight passing under the State Street Bridge. The 4913 was built by PRR/GE in January 1942, and is preserved in Altoona. The ex-LV GP38AC, numbered as the CR 7657 in this photo, was originally numbered as the LV 311; one of four built for the LV in December, 1971 (Nos. 310-313.)
