About 14 hours ago, this California Zephyr left Chicago. In a bit less than 24 hours, it will arrive in San Francisco. Not before calling at Green River though, its first stop in Utah.
In the background we see the snow-capped tops of the La Sal Mountains. Down where we were standing, it was hot and windy though.
