| With the winds howling at 40-50 mph and sirens going off in the distance, I could still hear this heavy coal drag grinding uphill for the better part of a half hour as it finally appears in the snow squal. NS 2628 leads NS 8700 on it's steady slow climb up the West Slope towards the summit and then onto The Horseshoe Curve. The snow was all blowing sideways as evident by the flakes streaking in the shot. Helping push on the tail were 4 NS SD40-2'S in 3345, 3341, 3348 and 3346. watch video here |
