America's Fastest Train at 15-Years (One-Month and 18-Days)-Old

Amtrak Acela Express #2171 speeds through a "tunnel" of catenary supports as it approaches the Kingston, Rhode Island, station - which it will fly through at about 150 miles-per-hour! This train, led by Acela Power Car 2006 (with ACP 2037 on the rear), departed Boston, Massachusetts, at 3:10 pm, and will arrive in Washington DC - 457 rail miles to the south - at 9:53 pm.
