Forlorn and forgotten

An EMD NW2 switcher for the former Kentucky May Coal Company, #1058, sits forlorn and forgotten, tied down with a few cars in a yard near Jackson, KY on the former L&N, now CSX's EK subdivision. Upon some preliminary research, it would appear the engine has been there since at least 2001, if not earlier.
