Farewell...Just over a year ago, the scrapping of the first Amtrak AEM-7s commenced. With the last few active units having little time left on the road, Amtrak has announced a "Farewell to the AEM-7" excursion that will occur on June 18 and include a tour of the Wilmington shops that maintained them. The excursion goes on sale tomorrow, May 2 at 9am, at amtrak.com.
