| After running East to Lynchburg and making the flip on the wye for the return trip, Train 957 heads back for Roanoke to change passengers and continue west to Walton. The 1950 Roanoke built J class 4-8-4 was the star of the show. The signals shown in the photo are original NW color post signals. The days of them being functional are numbered as the railroad is in the process of changing the line to modern signals. |
