A set of power has cut off a westbound that just arrived at Union Pacific's East Yard, in Commerce, California, on July 28th, 1996. UP SD60M 6212 shows off why the UP elected to restore the Winged Shield to the noses of their diesels about 5 years after this date. The third and fourth engines in this consist are two of a kind - UP SD40-2s 1896 and 1996, painted for the train that carried the Olympic flame to the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia, earlier this summer.
