Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 611 rolls north out of Danville, Virginia with the second of two Greensboro, North Carolina to Roanoke, Virginia excursions. Although the destination was Roanoke, these excursions reached N&W’s main shop town via rails laid by the Virginian.
