Coming through the Historic Chickamauga Battle Field we catch the Tennessee Valley Railroad Chickamauga Turn easing through the pine on its way south on a portion of the former Central of Georgia Chattanooga,TN-Carrollton,Ga (Line active to Summerville,GA) which is now own by the state of Georgia, and operated by the Genesee & Wyoming Inc (CCKY). The train is now less than five miles out of the small civil war town of Chickamauga, GA where the turn will stop, and the excursion will have a 4 hour layover til its time to head back north to Chattanooga.
