Remarks & Notes
Vermont Rail System recently moved some of the Pan Am Southern Railroad interchange back to Bellows Falls, Vermont, including the weekly limestone slurry train from the OMYA quarries in Florence, VT to Pan Am Railway for movement to Portland, Maine and the remaining paper mills north of Portland. On Saturday, June 25, running as GMRC 263X-25, the 55-car slurry train rolls by the rebuilt Bartonsville Covered Bridge (rebuilt after the original was washed away during the 2011 Hurricane Irene flooding in Vermont) at Bartonsville, VT with VTR SD70M-2 432, GP40-2W 311, GP40-2 308, GP38-2 201 and GP38-2 206.
