Remarks & Notes
With a storm hovering over the southern rim of the Grand Canyon; the William Flyer highballs south back to Williams with the iconic 2-8-2 steam locomotive #4960 on the point. From February to September, the Grand Canyon Railway runs their steam locomotive on the first Saturday of the month. Making the trip from Williams to the Grand Canyon and back, it's a great opportunity to see the 4960 stretch her legs.

The Grand Canyon Railroad, operating a 64-miles former Santa Fe branch to the eponymous natural wonder, is one of the best tourist railroads in the United States. It operates both steam and diesel locomotives.
