Racing Friday morning commuters on paralleling Sierra Highway Amtrak's eastbound Southwest Chief climbs Vincent Grade leaving the Antelope Valley. The Southwest Chief has been detoured by way of Mojave-Palmdale-Saugus due to the Blue Cut Wildfire which had temporarily closed the train's normal route through Cajon Pass. Private rail car 'Cimarron River' (Frisco) brings up the markers on #3 as it leaves Palmdale behind.
