Before I go out I tried to see where the sun will set down the tracks to where I am going. That way if I get lucky enough to get a train in the last minutes of the day maybe I can get a sunset/rise shot. On this fine Sunday afternoon, the UP treated me with a eastbound Z-train. Here the City of Industry, CA, to Global 1, IL, is rounding up a slower MNPCH freight between Stanwood and Lowden. The lack of atmosphere on this non-humid evening had a brilliant sunset minutes before the sun did set.
