Joso has many moods. One can spend all day watching the light change and finding new ways to photograph this iconic structure and the landscape surrounding it. But it is more difficult to find a train at the right time. We were driving north near Pasco and noticed a meet with a north bound train at Juniper and immediately decided to head for Joso. So we knew we had a train. But could we beat it. The highway route is longer than the railroad, and not particularly fast. We ended up waiting about two hours, watching the lighting get better and better, and wondering if we had missed the train. Obviously we didn't. And as luck would have it, we also had some good light.
