Remarks & Notes
After the first journey for the "Gönnerclub RAe TEE II 1053" (club of the patrons), this iconic and timeless elegant TRANS EUROPE EXPRESS trainset from 1961 returned back to Zürich main station. The RAe TEE II # 1053, capable for the 4 main electric systems of Europe, made a trip from Zürich via Berne-Fribourg-Puidoux-Chexbres-Vevey-Martigny to Brig and back via the Lötschberg mountain line and Berne-Olten to Zürich.

The crack passenger trains in Europe before the high speed era (1956-1080's). They were day 1st class only trains, and seat reservation was compulsory, quite a distinctive feature at a time when one could board most trains without a reserved seat or bed.
