32 years…… It had been 32 years since the symphony of steam had last echoed through Soledad Canyon as former Santa Fe 4-8-4 3751 returns to her home in Los Angeles after being on hand at Vincent Grade/Acton for the dedication ceremony of a new Metrolink station platform. Emerging from tunnel 19 the eastbound special drifts across the only remaining bridge crossing of the Santa Clara River between Russ and Lang on Metrolink's Valley Subdivision. On this day 3751 is accompanied by BNSF AC4400s 5620 and 5629, both on lease to Metrolink.
