I know I do tend to wax poetic in my description, but as I took in what could very well be my last iron range fall as a resident of Minnesota, change is in the air. The IC 6250, one of the last IC SD40-2's left in death star black, has survived a trip to Homewood in recent months to be fitted with PTC equipment. Coming out of the siding at N. Biwabik, it passes old DM&IR searchlights, which will soon be replaced by the new vader style signals. When I return, will anything in this picture be the same? That's life I guess.
