One of BNSF's new Tier 4 GE locomotives leads the relative new "guaranteed service" intermodal train from Los Angeles, CA to Austell, GA out of Flagstaff, Ariz. as the last rays of light peak over the horizon on a rainy, September day. Made up of nearly 6,000 ft of JB Hunt containers, this train will follow BNSF rails till Memphis, TN. From there, the Norfolk Southern will handle the train as NS 264 to Austell.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
