Amtrak #5, the California Zephyr, is just now leaving the siding at Range, Colorado after meeting its eastbound counterpart #6. Its next stop, about 28 rail miles west, is at the popular resort town of Glenwood Springs, Colorado. According to an Amtrak conductor I talked to it is not uncommon for #5 to disembark over 100 passengers at Glenwood Springs.
