Remarks & Notes

The first GG-1 and the last E-44 are occupying the same turntable track in the mid-90s. "Old Rivets" still looked half-decent here, 13 years after her initial restoration by the Strasburg Shops. I hope that a contrasting paint scheme is chosen for her next restoration; I've got my fingers crossed for the original "all-over" striping with white tires and lowered nose keystones, but I would guess that few would vote for that. Amtrak E-44 502, built as the PRR 4465 in 1963, has been beautifully restored to its original PRR Brunswick Green paint scheme and now reposes inside the museum.
