Norfolk Southern GE B32-8 No. 524, formerly numbered NS 3524, sits in Progress Rail' Roanoke facility where it, along with a fleet of retired boxcars, are being scrapped. NS retired much of its B32-8 fleet this year, among other older diesel locomotives including some of its former Southern Railway GP38-2s.
