Amtrak train #3, the Southwest Chief, departed Fullerton, California, 51 minutes late on December 28th. Considering it traveled all the way from Chicago, that wasn't too bad. The big advantage for me, though, was that it allowed wrapped Superliner 31042 to be photographed in sun! This car, along with Superliner 31006, will join a third wrapped Superliner and a wrapped P42DC on Colorado's "Winter Park Express" ski train, beginning service on January 7, 2017.
