| With the upper reaches of Tehachapi's western slope blanketed in a yet undisturbed dusting of snow the labored roar of eastbound tonnage, battling up the mountain, reverberates through the quiet winter scene. Conforming to the serpentine curves at the top end of Marcel eastbound BNSF 'double stacks' are nearing the summit of the arduous climb out of California's San Joaquin Valley. |
