The Amtrak station in Omaha is a well preserved classic example (with the exception of the missing arrow logo on the exterior) of the 1970s/1980s era Amtrak cookie cutter station design that helped the railroad survive when ridership and financial constraints made it unrealistic to maintain the grand union stations of yesteryear.
