After a three year hiatus, Union Pacific 4-8-4 #844 made a spirited comeback in 2016 pulling the annual Cheyenne Frontier Days Train between Denver, CO and Cheyenne, WY. Shortly after departing Denver Union Station, the 844, assisted by UP 1989, the DRGW heritage unit, enters the single track of the UP Greeley Sub on its journey north. A huge crowd of railfans young and old gathered on the concrete shoulder of I-270 to witness this event!
