Remarks & Notes

7200 looks stunning in this setting complete with flowering native trees (our Christmas foliage) on the hillsides around the capital. The DF class was built by EMD in Canada and enetered service in 1979. Internally rebuilt and reclassified in 1990s, most have since been rebuilt with BrightStar and other modifications at the cost of over $1M each. The great paint jobs they receive at Hutt workshops make them a welcome sight for this rail fan from dirty DL land.
