| Wide winging at Yuba Pass… After battling blizzard conditions the previous two days on the Sierra finally a break in the weather greets Union Pacific's snow fighters as they dig out Union Pacific's Sierra crossing from underneath a thick coat of Sierra Cement. After tandem spreading to Shed 10 Union Pacific's lead 'fixed wing' spreader continues west down to Switch 9 (Emigrant Gap) before returning the railroad to the dispatcher. It is through the effort of Union Pacific's Winter Professionals that once again Mother Nature's worst has been turned back, keeping trains running through the snow belt. |
