Remarks & Notes 
After Amtrak’s formation in 1971, South Amboy, New Jersey became the base for Penn Central’s largest concentration of E-units. Here a bunch of them spend the weekend at the engine terminal just a few weeks after the PC was usurped by Conrail. Note the large "Safety Always" slogan on the engine house.
