Burlington Northern locomotives used on locals out of Rochelle, Illinois, rest on the night of December 30, 1995, during a light snowfall. BN EMD GP39E No. 2938 is a former CB&Q GP35—while GP28M No. 1538 is a former Northern Pacific GP9—both units remanufactured by EMD and painted in the then-current “whiteface” scheme.
