A grain train bound for Clinton, IA, is seen here down to a crawl as they tackle Mount Vernon Hill. The train is working the section of East-West main between Cedar Rapids and Clinton. In 1995 the Union pacific has taken over the CNW in April, so changes were coming fast to this railroad. UP would put CTC across the state of Iowa and change the CNW traditional style of left hand running .
