| BN 2518, a former GN GP35 leads a freight past Reservation Tower in Tacoma, WA. This tower protected activity at the east end of BN and UP yards along their respective mainlines in Tacoma. The UP used BN trackage south of Tacoma and diverted here to their own line. In the 1970s they actually separated a bit west near Union Station. Trackage also diverted from this area to the Port of Tacoma, keeping things pretty busy at the tower. |
