A final look at ex; Norfolk Southern Corp 5000 in it's thoroughbred paint scheme. In time this GP38-2 will be painted back in it famous Southern Railway Tuxedo Black Paint scheme. SOU 5000 is own by the Tennessee Valley Railroad, and it was the very first class unit GP38-2 that was delivered from EMD in 1968 to the Southern Railway. Later on in its career GP38-2 served as a work horse in Norfolk Southern fleet til late 2016 where it was retired and acquired by the Tennessee Valley Railroad to be Preserved.
