A Rio Grande coal train climbs the Palmer Divide approaching Palmer Lake, Colorado, on a sunny and warm February 24, 1986. The train is led by three EMD SD50s, and is helped by a SD40T-2/SD50 helper set cut in, in front of the caboose on the rear of the train.
