With a consist that looks like it is the “salt train” from the Genesee & Wyoming, an eastbound Delaware & Hudson train rolls into Cameron, New York. After sending the D&H U23B fleet to the Maine Central, half of the D&H GP39-2 fleet to the Boston and Maine, and the D&H rebuilt C424m fleet to the Springfield Terminal and the Genesee & Wyoming , Guilford had to backfill the void with replacements like the ex-Conrail U33C seen here. We called the replacements “junk”.
