Remarks & Notes
A brief respite from the deluge of rain allowed this shot of Vermont Rail System's Green Mountain Railroad train 264-02 crossing the famous 'hanging' bridge 114 near Chester, Vermont. It no longer hangs but following Irene this bridge was the subject of many photos with its 1899 date readily visible above the locomotives. VTR GP40-2Ws 310 and 311 are leading GMTX GP38-2 2147 with Natchez Railway reporting marks.
